Welcome to March in Ontario! As winter begins to wane, Ontario comes alive with a variety of events and activities perfect for international students. From the vibrant Winterfolk Blues and Roots Festival in Toronto to the lively St. Patrick's Day celebrations, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Don't forget to dress warmly, as temperatures can still be quite chilly, ranging from -2°C to 4°C. Whether you're exploring the great outdoors or attending indoor events, March in Ontario offers a unique blend of cultural experiences and seasonal fun.
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day on March 17th with a host of festivities across Ontario! Join the lively St. Patrick's Day Parade in Toronto, where you can enjoy colorful floats, music, and dance. Many cities also host traditional Irish Céilidhs, pub crawls, and family-friendly events, making it a day full of fun and Irish cheer where anyone can be Irish for the day!
Also, during this month, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, engage in increased prayer, and participate in charitable activities. It's a time of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and community.
Many cities in Ontario have special events and accommodations for those observing Ramadan, including community iftars (breaking of the fast) and prayer spaces. Be sure to check out local mosques and community centers for more information on events and support during this holy month.

Update Your Address
It’s time to check that your permanent address in MyDC is the address that you are currently living at. It can’t be the address back home because that is not where you are currently living. You can review in the Home@ DC orientation module in Module 3 – Housing in the information on Canadian addresses and phone numbers.
Canadian addresses follow the format of
House number Street name
City, Province
Postal code
For example:
2000 Simcoe Street North,
Oshawa, Ontario
L1G 0C5
If you live in an apartment, the apartment or unit number goes in front of the street number.
For example: unit 14 at 20 Avenue of Champions would look like this:
14 - 20 Avenue of Champions,
Oshawa, ON
L1H 7K4
A step-by-step guide to update your permanent address is found HERE
